Suite Tunes & Tales
It’s never too early to introduce your child to the world of stories and music. This class will entertain and enlighten children through music, storytelling and puppetry with master puppeteer and singer/songwriter, Laura Biddle.
In this class for children age 3-5 years old, Laura works her magic with her gang of funny puppets, responding to each child’s creative imagination, exploring rhythm and voice as music makers, with story and song as creative inspiration.
Songwriting Class
Three Chords and Three Minutes! That’s all it takes to write a hit song! Well….that and a good idea!!
Well known singer songwriter, Liz Frame, will teach the basics of popular songwriting. Explore your creativity by learning to develop a song idea, craft lyrics and melodies.
Rock/Blues/Jazz Jammin’
This class is designed to explore the fundamentals of blues, rock and jazz through learning to improvise with other student musicians in jam sessions.
Taught by one of Boston’s best loved musicians, Joe Holaday, all instruments and vocals welcome!
Suite Awards
DIRECTOR'S AWARD
All of our students at the Musical Suite are wonderful in their own way, whatever age or level, but only a few over the years stand out as having exceptional musical potential. These are truly gifted individuals for whom music is their path and their passion.
To honor these students we have established
THE DIRECTOR'S AWARD , providing a way to recognize
their outstanding talent, and offer opportunities to perform both at the Suite
and in our community.
The Musical Suite is proud to announce that
SETH CAMPELL is the recipient of the
Musical Suite's Director's Award 2012
Seth has been a student at the Musical Suite for 14 years!! He has been exploring his natural musical talent by studying piano, voice, saxophone, clarinet and music theory, to name only a few of the 27 instruments he plays!
He currently takes piano with John Hyde, voice with Neal Ferreira, and has studied clarinet with Gail McArthur-Browne. As a high school senior, Seth applied to Berklee College of Music, Oberlin, and New England Conservatory, among other universities. He has been accepted to Berklee to pursue his future in musical performance. Throughout his musical journey he has written and performed his own original music and songs, in all genres from classical to rock, both solo and as a member of other ensembles.
Congratulations Seth, for being an inspiration to all of us as the gifted musician and creative artist you are, for whom the world is your audience, and there are no bounds to your musical potential.
