Registration

Registration may take place at any time during the year, but it is recommended that a student start at the beginning of a semester to secure a desired time slot. You may register in person or by phone by calling (978) 462-8225.

Payment

Payment in full is due before the first lesson of each semester. A non-refundable $15.00 registration fee is applied once each year. Tuition may be paid by personal check, money order, cash, MasterCard, or Visa. Payment plans may be arranged through our office prior to registration. The Musical Suite reserves the right to suspend or discontinue instruction of any student who is delinquent in fulfilling financial obligations by the third lesson of the semester. An additional charge will be added to overdue accounts.

Family Discount

A Family Discount is available to families with two or more members taking lessons. A discount is applied to the second family member and each thereafter attending during the same semester. Group classes do not qualify.

Refunds & Credits

If a student withdraws before the fourth private lesson, the school will refund the balance of the tuition less a pro-rated cancellation fee equal to one lesson. No refunds are given after the third lesson except in cases of prolonged illness or injury.

Absence Policy

Private lessons and group instruction will be made up only if a teacher is absent or if school is canceled due to inclement weather. If the school is notified by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the lesson, the student may receive a make-up lesson at the discretion of the teacher.

Master Class/Workshops

A teacher may substitute a master class or group workshop for a private lesson as long as prior agreement is made with the student or parent.

Holidays, Vacations & Snow Days

Please make a note of the Musical Suite’s Academic Calendar. We are closed for most national holidays. Morning classes will be cancelled if the Newburyport public school is closed. Afternoon cancellations will be announced on the Musical Suite answering machine by noon or by a call from your teacher.
