|Jozef Nadj – Violin, Guitar
Born to a family of musicians, Jozef began violin lessons at the age of five. He received his formal training in classical violin at the Kodolanyi Janos Instititute, Budapest, Hungary and the Academy of Music in Nis, Serbia. He received his professional diploma on a scholarship at Berklee School of Music where he studied jazz, blues, funk, rock and fusion. Jozef has performed and studied with musicians such as Didier Lockwood, Nigel Kennedy, Matt Glaser, Rob Thomas, James Montgomery, Eugene Friesen, Mimi Rabson and Livingston Taylor, as well as played with the London International Show Band and the Newton Symphony Orchestra. He brings an exciting mix of classical and contemporary styles to his teaching.
|Rita Nadj- Violin
Rita received her music education from the Music Academy of Belgrade in Serbia and the Kodolanyi Janos Music Institute of Budapest, in Hungary. She also received a scholarship to study violin at Berklee College of Music in Boston.She has performed with the Belgrade Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, the Serbian Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Palace Theatre, Royal Strings of St.George, the Music Theatre Terazije, Belgrade Opera, Symphonic Orchestra RTS, and Captain Wolf Band, among many other ensembles both in the United States and abroad.Her recording experience has been as the principle violinist with the Captain Wolf Band “Call of The Wolf” in 2011 and “Another Call of The Wolf” in 2012.
Rita has taught violin students of all ages and levels. Her classical training as well as her experience with other genres at Berklee College of Music, adds depth to her teaching style and approach. She plays both an acoustic and electric four and five string violin and piano.
|Joe Kessler- Jazz, Fiddle, Celtic, Rock, Blues, Klezmer and Classical Violin
Joe Kessler received his music training from New England Conservatory, Temple University and Tufts, studying all styles of violin from Fiddle to
Classical. He has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada, including headlining the Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Montreal Jazz Festival. His tours abroad have included Copenhagen Royal Theatre, Algarve Music Festival in Portugal, La Cigale in Paris, as well as festival appearances in Bordeaux and Toulouse.
He has performed with groups like Morphine, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Klingon Klez, and Joe Sudler. Currently he plays with The Boogaloo Swamis, Klezwoods, Sunday’s Well, Macteggards, Inchicore, Celtic Clan, Jimmy Ryan, The Miranda Russell Band, Sam Reid and the Riot Act, and The International String Trio.
Joe brings his diverse violin experience to his teaching at all levels of experience and all ages. His passion for music and performance comes through in his teaching, inspiring his students to master techniques and styles which take them in any direction they wish to go.
